What is the greatest mistake we make during a crisis?

• observing the drills for various crises

• not knowing what steps to take and in what order in a given situation

• teaching our students the correct procedures for each type of crisis

What types of emergencies can happen at Lakeview?

• fire or gas leak

• natural calamities (earthquake, tornado, hurricane)

• bomb threat or hostage situation

• These can all happen here.

How can we access the Emergency Response Plan at any time?

• ask for a copy from the office

• Lakeview Elementary's folder on Shared Drive (2022-2023 subfolder)

• check with your grade level chairperson

Which is NOT included in the Fire Drill Procedure?

• Have the children file out of the room in a single file to the appointed exit.

• Close the classroom door.

• Take your cellphone with you.

• Bring the class roster & red/green flip book.

• Make sure all students are accounted for, then hold up the flip book depending on your class' status.
