What is the purpose of POV?

• It's the sequence of events that make up a story, explaining what happens and why

• It determines what information the audience receives and how they relate to the story. 

• It is to establish the time and place, create atmosphere, reveal character, and make events seem plausible

What is 1st Person POV?

• The narrator is a character within the story, using pronouns like "I" and "me" to recount their own experiences. 

• The story is told directly to the reader, using "you" to put them in the role of the protagonist. 

• The narrator is outside the story, using pronouns like "he," "she," or "they" to describe the actions and thoughts of characters.
