In Brazil, police dogs are primarily used for drug detection but are now being trained to identify potential terrorist threats ahead of the Rio Olympics. The training, conducted with the help of French RAID experts, aims to prepare the dogs for real-world scenarios. The dogs showcased their new skills at Rio's international airport, where they practiced detecting hidden bombs. With the upcoming Olympics, security is a priority, especially in light of global terrorist attacks. Approximately 85,000 military and police personnel will be deployed in Rio, doubling the security presence compared to the London 2012 Olympics.
