Study finds airport security trays contains more viruses than toilets

The study conducted at Helsinki Airport during the 2016 flu season found that four out of eight security trays were contaminated with Rhinovirus or Adenovirus, both of which cause cold-like symptoms. Researchers recommend minimizing virus spread through hand washing and coughing into sleeves. They also suggest that airports provide hand sanitizers and clean security trays more frequently.
