VOICED : Segundo dia de combates entre fuerzas de Irak y EI en Kirkuk

The Iraqi city of Kirkuk, controlled by Kurds, experienced a second day of intense fighting between Iraqi forces and ISIS militants, who launched a surprise attack with suicide bombers and snipers. The clashes resulted in 46 deaths and 133 injuries, mostly among security personnel, while 48 ISIS fighters were killed. The attack highlighted ISIS's ability to strike outside its controlled areas. Meanwhile, Iraqi forces, supported by an international coalition, continued their offensive against Mosul, ISIS's last major stronghold in Iraq.
