New Zealand is evacuating tourists from Kaikoura after a 7.8 magnitude earthquake. The evacuation accelerated with the arrival of a New Zealand Navy ship, joined by ships from the US, Canada, and Australia. Land access is blocked due to landslides. Over 200 people were evacuated by helicopter, and 500 more were set to leave by ship. The earthquake caused two deaths and significant damage, with its epicenter near Kaikoura, a popular whale-watching spot.
