This led to mental health struggles, including PTSD and depression. With the help of Congressman Don Bacon, Christina's benefits were restored, and she graduated with a degree. The Safe to Report Act was introduced to protect survivors from penalties for collateral misconduct. Although the bill was vetoed, Congress is expected to override it. Christina hopes her story encourages more women to come forward.
