VOICED : Llegan vacunas a Ecuador y Panamá comienza inmunización

Ecuador received its first 8,000 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, becoming the second South American country to do so after Chile. The vaccination process has begun, focusing initially on medical staff and elderly care centers in Quito, Cuenca, and Guayaquil. Ecuador has acquired 2.1 million doses and has reported over 234,000 cases and 14,000 deaths. Meanwhile, Panama started its vaccination campaign with 12,840 doses, despite production issues. Healthcare workers are prioritized, and authorities expect regular vaccine supply from February. Panama has the highest COVID-19 cases in Central America, with over 300,000 infections and 4,800 deaths.
