VOICED: Chavez evalua propuesta de Iran

Iran proposes including Venezuela in a new contact group to resolve the Syrian conflict. President Hugo Chávez is considering the proposal, expressing a desire to help achieve peace in Syria, which he views as being oppressed by imperialist policies. The contact group is an initiative by Egypt's President Mohamed Morsi, but there are conflicting positions within it. Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey demand Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's resignation, while Iran, a strong ally of Assad, suggests including Venezuela and Iraq, who also support the Syrian regime. Venezuela has shown its support by sending diesel shipments to Syria.
