Moderna’s phase-1 trials show experimental coronavirus vaccine can induce immune response

Moderna's COVID-19 vaccine has shown promising results by triggering an immune response in all volunteers during preliminary testing. The mRNA in the vaccine instructs body cells to produce proteins that mimic the coronavirus spike proteins, helping the immune system recognize and combat the virus. The phase 1 trial involved three groups with varying dosages, and those receiving two doses showed higher antibody levels than recovered COVID-19 patients. However, some volunteers experienced severe side effects, including high fever and nausea.
