South Korea to build the world’s first floating city

A historic deal was signed to build the world's first floating city on the coast of Busan, South Korea, with support from the UN and Oceanics. The city aims to combat rising sea levels and will feature hexagonal platforms with a limestone coating, making it resilient to Category 5 hurricanes and flood-proof. It will be self-sufficient, producing its own food, energy, and water, with aquaculture systems for seafood and aquaponics for plant fertilization.
