Survey: U.S. Companies Added More Than 200,000 Jobs In December

In December, U.S. companies added nearly 80,000 more jobs than the previous month, marking the largest employment gains since April. The trade, transportation, and utilities sector saw the most growth, followed by education, health services, and construction. However, some industries like leisure, hospitality, information, manufacturing, and mining experienced job losses. ADP's report, released two days before the Labor Department's employment report, suggests a higher increase in private sector employment than expected by the Labor Department.
