VOICED : Castillo anuncia instalación de planta de producción de vacunas Sputnik V en Perú

Peru is set to establish a Sputnik V vaccine production plant following negotiations with Russia. The Health Minister will provide more details, and operations are expected to start in 2023. President Castillo announced efforts to accelerate COVID-19 vaccination by advancing the arrival of Sinopharm and Pfizer vaccines. Currently, 26% of Peru's population is fully vaccinated, with a goal to reach 50% by September. The country has faced significant challenges with nearly 198,000 deaths and over 2.1 million infections since the pandemic began in March 2020.
