VOICED : Colombia declara fin de la epidemia del zika

Colombia announced the end of the Zika epidemic, which affected nearly 100,000 people over 10 months. It is the first country in the Americas to declare the epidemic over. Health authorities reported 21 cases of microcephaly among 17,700 pregnant women with Zika. Couples were advised to delay pregnancy plans during the outbreak, primarily spread by the Aedes aegypti mosquito, but recent studies suggest sexual transmission is also possible.
