Heza, a yazidi woman, was captured and sold as a sex slave by ISIS in Raqqa. After enduring captivity and multiple sales, she escaped in 2015 with the help of a Kurdish family. She traveled to Iraq and joined the Syrian Democratic Forces to fight against ISIS. Heza returned to Raqqa to participate in the offensive, aiming to liberate and avenge yazidi women. Despite efforts, around 3,000 yazidi women remain in captivity.
