During the partition of India, millions of people were forced to migrate across newly drawn borders. Hindus and Sikhs moved east to India, while Muslims headed west to Pakistan. This mass migration, the largest in history, was fraught with danger and uncertainty, as many had never traveled far from home and faced threats along the way. In total, around 10 million people were displaced from their homes.
