Roberto Clemente, a Puerto Rican baseball legend, overcame poverty and racial discrimination to become a two-time World Series champion and a 12-time Gold Glove winner. Despite facing racism in the US, he served in the Marine Corps and became a celebrated right fielder. Clemente was also a dedicated humanitarian, tragically dying in a plane crash while delivering aid. He was posthumously inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame, and his legacy lives on through the Roberto Clemente Award.
