Little Red Riding Hood
Once upon a time, there was a kind little girl who always wore a red hooded cloak. Because of this, everyone called her Little Red Riding Hood. One day, her mother asked her to bring a basket of food to her sick grandmother, who lived deep in the woods. Before she left, her mother warned her, "Stay on the path and don't talk to strangers."
As Little Red Riding Hood walked through the forest, she met a big, bad wolf. The wolf pretended to be kind and asked where she was going. Forgetting her mother’s warning, she told him about her grandmother’s house. The wolf quickly ran ahead, reached the house first, and tricked the grandmother. He then disguised himself in her clothes and waited for Little Red Riding Hood.
When the little girl arrived, she noticed something strange.
"Grandmother, what big eyes you have!"
"The better to see you with, my dear," the wolf replied.
"Grandmother, what big ears you have!"
"The better to hear you with, my dear," said the wolf.
"Grandmother, what big teeth you have!"
"The better to eat you with!" the wolf shouted, jumping from the bed.
Just as the wolf was about to catch her, a woodcutter passing by heard the screams. He rushed inside and scared the wolf away. Little Red Riding Hood helped her grandmother out of the closet, where the wolf had locked her.
From that day on, Little Red Riding Hood promised never to talk to strangers and always listen to her mother’s advice.
