CAST Review #1

You will be taking a state test soon covering science knowledge from 6th-8th grade. We will begin reviewing material and some of the kinds of questions you will see. Even if you don't remember the material, you can still use test taking skills to increase your chances of getting the answer correct. Check all the things you could do on a test question to help you get the answer correct.

• Read the question carefully several times to identify what are they actually asking

• eliminate answer options that are definitely not possible

• take deep breaths to get as much oxygen to your brain as possible (increase your brain activity)

• study the graphs or data charts...often the answers can be found by simply reading the data provided
