Warm Front

• Front that occurs when a warm air mass moves into a region occupied by a colder air mass.

Maritime Polar Air Mass (mP)

Frontal Cyclone

Low

Air Mass

Cold Front

• Front that occurs when cold air moves to a region occupied by a warm air mass.

Stationary Front
