Watering House Plants
Watering may be the most important service you can give your house plants.  More plants fail from improper watering than from any other cause.  "How much water?"  is the initial question most people ask when getting a plant.  Most indoor gardeners agree that there is one best method to judge a plant's need for water.  Feel the soil surface with your finger.  If the potting mix is dry to a depth of one-half to one inch, add water.  If the potting mix is still moist, keep checking the plant periodically.
