"Outlaw" alignment

• Outside of Guard at 6 yards by the snap

• Head up on guard at 4 yards creeping up to 2 yards by the snap

• Head up or slightly outside of guard creeping from 6 to 4 yards

• Head up over tackle at 5 yards.

• Eyes on the guard for block reaction, then backfield

• Eyes in the backfield

• Cross read the opposite side RB

• Watch the QB from snap and then react

"Outlaw" run fit

• Take a shuffle step, then attack

• Take a hard step toward left side B gap, looking like a blitz, then scrape for plays away

• Take a hard step toward left side A gap, looking like a blitz, then scrape for plays away

• Take a step backwards to read the play first, then attack open hole

Block reaction: Guards shoulders go low and drive forward after the snap

• Drop to pass coverage, hook to curl

• QB spy

• Its a run! Blitz through your gap for plays to you, and scrape for plays away

• Stay where you are and wait for the ball carrier

Block reaction: Guard's shoulder go straight back or slightly to the right, and high hat (helmet)

• It's a pass block, do your coverage/spy responsibilities!

• Run blocking, blitz through B gap

• Pass blocking, run straight into the block

• Jog to hook to curl/spy, someone else will do my job for me

Block reaction: Guard pulls to your left

• Blitz through your gap and follow the guard to the play

• Shuffle to the outside and do the Falcon's job for him

• Stay where you are and watch the QB

• Scrape to the right

Block reaction: Guard pulls to the right

• Blitz through the left B gap

• Run 5 yards back for a good pursuit angle to the right and do the Bandit's job for him

• Scrape then pursue. If it is a pass, you do your coverage/QB spy responsibilities.

• Scrape to the opposite B gap and blitz, regardless of whether it is a pass or run.

"Outlaw-Cover 3" Pass coverage: If the QB stays in the pocket

• Drop hook to curl, eyes on QB as spy, and carry no coverage past 10 yards

• Blitz to put pressure on the QB

• Man coverage on the first leak from the backfield

• Stay in middle of field and wait for the QB to break the pocket.

"Outlaw Cover 3" pass coverage: If the QB rolls out or scrambles TO your side

• Attack the QB

• Stay in QB spy and wait for him to throw or run

• Man on the closest receiver

• Drop hook to curl/QB spy
