The Sulawesi Hornbill is a small black bird measuring approximately 45 cm (18 in) in length.

The male bird has a yellow face, throat, and a horn-shaped beak with black markings.

These birds are found in Indonesia, particularly in lowlands, swamps, and forests across Sulawesi and nearby islands.

The female bird is entirely black with a darker beak.

Only the dominant male and female birds reproduce, while the other members of the group assist in caring for the offspring.
