According to Simon Singh, who is a writer of science books and the book 'The Simpsons and their Mathematical Secrets,

believes, the scriptwriter for the series, namely David X. Cohen, has a background in Mathematics.

Simon speculated that the formula was possibly guessed by David Cohen but was ultimately proven successful in 2012.

The Shard. In season 6, episode 19 titled 'Lisa’s Wedding' which aired in the year 1995,

tells about Lisa in the future who falls in love with a British man.

Lisa then flew together with her lover to England to meet that man's family.

What is strange is, when their airplane passes through the clock tower of London, there is one building that looks strange.

At that time, perhaps the viewers will think that building was placed randomly as a background.

However, that view is different with today's viewers, where that building is actually The Shard, which was built in 2012!

Not just its shape, if you compare that scene with present-day London, the position of that building is also almost accurate.
