Opening

• May I have your attention please?

  You are seated at an emergency exit and you will be required to operate these exits

  (point) in the event of an emergency.

  You may need to act without our direction, so please l isten carefully while I explain to

  you the operation of the exits.

Danger

• If you hear crew shout “Evacuate, Evacuate, Evacuate” first look outside the window.

  If there is danger outside – like fire, smoke, obstructions or high water, (point to

  viewing win dow), do not open the exit.

  Go to another exit.

No Danger

• If there is no danger outside, grasp the bottom handle with your closes t hand (point).

  With the other hand, remove the cover and pull down on the top handle (point).

Exit Operation

• The exit will fall inwards. Keep holding it as it is heavy. You must lift it and throw it

  outside the aircraft.

  There is a red handle in the top corner of the door frame (point to the locations) which

  you must pull to ensure the evacuation device inflates.
