When are lesson plans due?

It is TCAP Blitz time, so what does that mean to the math squad?

• Nothing

• We will continue to teach everyday like always.

• The math squad will teach using the Eureka Math curriculum in grades K-5.

• We will continue to teach but our lesson flow will reflect test prep in grades 3-5. K-2 will continue to use Eureka Math.

When and how should I include math fluency practice?

• Everyday; i.e. teacher-created fluency quizzes, fluency songs/raps/chants, math stations, math fluency websites

• Fridays Only: I need to wait on a fluency quiz from admin

• Thurdays Only: During weekly assessments

• Thursdays and Fridays Only; During assessment day and Game Practice Fridays

Will I continue to have weekly meetings with my math coach, AP Ray?

• No

• Yes, K-5 will meet with AP Ray during Google Calendar pre-scheduled times just like before.

• Yes, grades 3-5 teachers will continue to meet during Google Calendar scheduled times. Teachers in grades K-2 will just need to request a meeting with AP Ray.

• No, TCAP Blitz means that we are on our own and will not need coaching assistance.

Who will AP Ray pull and tutor each week to assist with TCAP Prep?

• VIP KIDS: Students in grades 3-5 who scored in the top 25% (Minimum) on benchmark tests. (Ex. cohorts Harvard, Columbia, and )

• Students in grades 3-5, who scored in the bottom 25% benchmark testing.

• Students who have been behavioral problems.

• AP Ray will not personally pull any students. She will assign those duties to other staff members.
