how would you recognise a casualty having a suspected epileptic seizure ?

• face drooping to one side , arm weakness , balance and vison issues

• distressed and difficulty breathing, wheezy , may lead to unconsciousness

• sudden collapse, rigid body , noisy breathing , jerking movements and potential loss of body functions

• chest pain spreading out to the left arm, sense of impending doom

How would you recognise that someone was having an angina attack ?

How should we administer first aid to someone with a suspected stroke ?

• take them away from cause , sit them upright and allow to take medication

• call 999/112, make them comfortable, calm and reassure

• sit them in the W position, give medication , be prepared for them to collapse and do CPR

• make a space around the casualty , put something under the head , loosen tight clothing , maintain the casulties dignity

How would you administer first aid for someone who is fainting?

• lower to the floor if possible

  sit them up

  calm and reassure them

• lower to the floor if possible , lit their legs up , monitor airways and breathing

• cool the burn for 20 minutes under running water

• call 999 immediately , ask for the AED

treatment for a hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar) includes

• ask if they are asthmatic and have they eaten recently

• give them sugar

• if they don't respond to the puffers call 999

• do not give them sugar ever

Management of someone having an angina attack would be

• sit them in the W position and allow to rest

  allow them to take their medication(GTN)

  if the pain doesn't go away withing 3-8 minutes call 999
