The licensing authority and currently regulates licensed child care facilities, licensed family day care homes, licensed large family child care homes, and licensed mildly ill facilities in most counties in Florida

• A person has committed a misdemeanor in the first degree if he or she: lies about a childcare program, lies about being licensed, or operates with a suspended license.

• Directly supervised volunteers who participate in the federal program pursuant to 45 Code of Federal Regulations part 2552; they work with one or more children with special or exceptional needs in child care programs
