How has the curriculum been designed to ensure that students can remember key knowledge and make progress? 

How do you make learning stick? 

How do you use assessment?

• Formative assessment - Regular KOs, Mini whiteboards, questioning, low stake tests.

  Summative assessment- 3 assessments per year KS3 and 12 assessments at KS4 including End of Year exams.

• I don't.

How well are your students doing at KS3 and how do you know?

• We are able to assess students at intervals across the year. We use student grade descriptors to assess progress in relation to their year group and skills and information that they should have mastered. With regular testing and retrieval practice built into our curriculum, we are able to identify gaps in learning and close them quickly.

• We know by student voice how well students are doing and how much they are enjoying our subject.
