What is memory?

• The process of storing things we have learned  and being able to recalling them later.

• When you are not able to remember something.

What is long-term memory?

• When you can keep information in mind for a short amount of time

• When you can remember memories of past events

What does involuntary mean?

• An action you choose to do by thinking about it. You cannot do these actions without thinking.

• An action that happens without you thinking about them. They happen automatically.

Voluntary actions  are called...

• ‘thinking actions’

• automatic actions

An example of an involuntary action is:

• clapping your hands

• Standing up

• Dancing to music

• Digesting your food
