Operation Pedro Pan was mainly about ...
Families thought their kids had to scape the arrival of the communist drive into Cuba and due to such stress, they were sent to California to let go of worry.
Cuban kids didn't feel like Fidel Castro should be in control of their lives, so they started an underground system where they could intercept notes and know what the government was planning for their families.
Many parents thought their kids would be safer away from all the drastic governmental change happening in Cuba and from Fidel Castro, parents teamed up and got many kids away from Cuba into Miami keeping everything under wraps.
A kid who lived in Cuba named Pedro saw the harm Fidel Castro was doing to his home and decided to make a stand. He formed protests against the misuse of power Fidel was making. He ended up getting almost all the kids he knew involved.
