What is the Design Cycle?

• A design process of elimination.

• A process used to create a solution to any problem.

• A set of steps that you can follow in order to always find the right answer.

What are the 4 stages of the Design Cycle?

• Research, Sketch, Make, Test

• Investigate, Plan, Create, Evaluate

• Ask, Model, Design, Feedback

What happens in the Investigate stage?

• Test your solution to see how effective your design is. Describe the impact of your solution and how you could improve it.

• Identify a problem that needs to be solved and then research to find out more about the problem and existing solutions.

• Brainstorm multiple ideas for solutions. Decide on the best idea and present it as a detailed sketch with labels and descriptions.

• Follow your plan to make a solution.
