• Words used to describe how a movement is performed. e.g. sharp, soft, flowing, energetic, pulsing, lethargic, fast, slow. This helps tell a story.

• How accurate a movement is.

• The space you stand in on the stage.

Pathways are…

• Where you stand on the stage

• Travelling patterns on the stage

• The extension of your legs

Exits and entrances are…

• How you walk onto the stage and off the stage

• Dancers going on and off the stage as part of the story/ dance

• Walking off the stage because of an injury and returning

Question and answer is…

• One dancer doing a movement and another repeating the same movement

• Someone asking a question and someone answering it.

• A movement danced then another dancer responding with a different movement

Contrasting Movements

• A dancer performing a completely different move to another dancer OR a dancer dances a move(s) followed by a completely different (opposite) move(s) after
