Pathology of the skin

An allergic inflammation of the skin, characrersied by erythema. I'm itchy and have skin lesions, I am not contagious and am caused by many things such as, chemicals, clothing and cosmetics... What am I?

I am normally caused by hormonal imbalances which increases sebum production leading to blocked glands and infection. I make skin shiny, sallow in appearance with papules, pustules and comedones. I am not contagious, what am I?

You will find me all over the body but most often on the inside of the knee, elbow joints, on the face, hands and scalp. I make the skin extremely dry and itchy, causing discomfort, sometimes making skin bleed. I am not contagious what am I?

I am small, often found on fingers and thumbs, hard and dry in appearance. I am highly contagious as I am a viral. What am I?

I have a complete loss of colour in well-defined areas of the face and limbs, due to absence of pigmentation, I start off in patches but can become large, I am a pigmentation disorder but what am I?

I am small pigmented areas of skin which become more evident on exposure to sunlight and am found on the face, arms and legs. You will see me more with fair skin, what am I?

I am mainly found around the mouth, I am small and have a blister appearance which forms in to a dry crust which eventually falls off. I am highly contagious and viral. What am I?

Something has irritated my skin, I have produced histamine to protect myself. I am all red, blotchy and my eyes may water, sting and swell. My reactions are different in different people. I am not contagious, what am I?
