Joshua Chapters 21 & 22

Then the heads of the fathers' houses of ……… came near to Eleazar the priest. (Joshua 21:1)

Now the lot came out for the families of the kohathites. And the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had ………….cities by lot from the tribe of Judah (Joshua 21:4)

Meditation verse for chapters 21 &22

In Chapter 21 we learn about the Levite cities and how Joshua divided it among the tribes by lot. We see by the end of the chapter how all God’s promises were fulfilled.

In Chapter 22 we learn about the altar that the children of Reuben built not for burnt offering nor for sacrifice but to be witness between them that the Lord is God.

On chapter 21 verse 45 we see how God fulfilled all His promises to His people, and He defeated all their enemies. And that was a symbol of defeating the Lord Jesus to Satan on the cross. We should trust the Lord and all His promises, He is able to give us victory over Satan despite of our weakness if we submit ourselves to Him.

God didn’t fulfil all His promises to the children of Israel because they were bad people.
