•  $\frac{5}{9}$  because 9-5=4 and 15-8=7 and 4 is less than 7

•  $\frac{8}{15}$  because 8 is bigger than 5

•  $\frac{5}{9}$  because it is equivalent to  $\frac{5+15}{9+15}=\frac{20}{24}$ and  $\frac{8}{15}=\frac{8+9}{15+9}=\frac{17}{24}$
