An AFFIRMATIVE tú command:

• Is the same as the él/ella form of the preterit

• Is the tú form but with the opposite ending (ar = er/ir and er/ir = ar)

• Is the same as the Uds. form of the present

• Is the same as the él/ella form of the present

To form a negative "tú" command, conjugate the verb using the OPPOSITE tú ending. (ar use er ; er use ar)

• Take the yo form, drop the "o" and add the opposite ending

• Take the Ud. form, drop the "o" and add the opposite ending

• Use the él/ella/Ud. form of the present
