When a photo or video is shared on the internet, who might be able to see it?

One of your classmates has shared a photo of you that you really don’t like. What do you do?

• Share an embarrassing photo of them in return!

• Tell an adult and explain why you’re unhappy.

• Nothing; it’s up to them what they post online.

Your friend is really into photography but has received some unkind comments for one of his online pictures. How can you help?

• Tell an adult and ask them to show you what you can do online to stop it happening.

• Reply to the comment and tell this person not to be so mean.

• Help your friend figure out how to block them.

Your friend has commented on a photo online, making a joke, but has upset some people by doing so. How can you help to make things right?

• Make another bad joke on the thread.

• Talk to your friend and help them see that they have upset people. Help your friend to remove the comment and apologise to the others.

How can you stop people you don't know from seeing information about you?

• Make sure your privacy settings are at the highest on every site you use.

What kind of photos are OK to post online?

• Photos that you would be happy for anybody in the world to see.

What do you do if you get an email, an online message or friend request from someone you don't know?

• Open it and click on any links - it looks interesting.

• Open it to find out who it is from.

• Don't click on it and tell an adult.

You find a great free online game, but you need to download it first before it can be played. What should you do?

• Download it if your friends already have - it must be OK.

• Show an adult and ask them if it's OK.

• Don't download it - it's definitely a virus and definitely illegal.

What should you do if you see something that you don't like online, for example a rude picture, video or comment?

• Tell your friends.

• Turn the screen off and tell an adult immediately.

• Close the window and don't go to that page again.
