U.S. Congress

• The head of the executive branch in a state or territory.

• The group of people who make laws for the United States.

• A geographic area with boundaries, residents, and a government with a constitution and laws.

• The person how makes the laws in a particular state.

State

• A geographic area with boundaries, residents, and a government with a constitution and laws.

• The head of the executive branch in a state or territory.

• An area of land.

• A place where people and residents call home.

Immigrant

• A person who comes into a country to live there.

• A citizen of another country.

• Someone who stays at home and plays videogames all day long.

• A group of people who have grown up and lived in one territory their whole lives.

Recruiter

• Someone who encourages new people to join a group or take action.

• A person who comes into a country to live there.

• A group of people who encourage others to get their distance learning materials in on time.

• An individual who serves the U.S. government.

Constitution

• A written document outlining how the government of a state or country is organized.

• An agreed-upon document that serves the country and its citizens.

• The one and only document that describes how our country should be running.

• A document that if broken will lead to severe penalties, such as repeating 6th grade.

Federalism

• A system of government in which power is divided between a federal, or national government and various state governments.

• The different parts of the constitution.

• The power the president of the United States has over its citizens.

• A written document outlining how the government or a state or country is organized.
