The Present Perfect Tense

We use the Present Perfect Tense for:

• an action that started in the past and continuous in the present.

• an experience of life.

• when the time is not important.

• All of them.

The Present Perfect Tense is formed with:

• S+has/have+past participle

• S+has/have+past tense

• S+had+past participle

We use the auxiliary verb "has" or "hasn't" with:

• the subject pronouns: he - she - it

• the subject pronouns: I - we - you - they

• all the the subject pronouns.

We use the auxiliary verb "have" or "haven't" with:

• all the subject pronouns.

• the subject pronouns: I - we - you - they

• the subject pronouns: he - she - it

Translate: I have worked.

• Yo he trabajado.

• Yo trabajé.

• Yo trabajaré.

Translate: He has studied.

• Él estudiará.

• Él ha estudiado.

• Él estudió.

Translate: She hasn't come yet.

• Ella no vino todavía.

• Ella no vendrá todavía.

• Ella no ha venido todavía.

Translate: We haven't done our exercises.

• No hemos hecho nuestros ejercicios.

• No hicimos nuestros ejercicios.

• No haremos nuestros ejercicios.

Translate: Have you finished your homework?
