Safety and Procedures

If you need markers, you can find them

• On the teacher’s desk.

• In your neighbor’s book bag.

• In the student services office

• In the supply box for your table.

You should ALWAYS enter the classroom

• talking with your friends.

• quietly and begin bell work.

• singing a song.

• shouting “hi” to your best friend.

If you need to get out of your seat for any reason other then an emergency, you should

• get up and take care of your business.

• raise your hand and get permission.

• just do it.

• ask your neighbor what to do.

Everyday I will bring the following supplies to class:

• just a pen or pencil.

• Pen or pencil, paper, science folder, Chrome book, homework folder and novel.

• pen or pencil, science folder, and book bag .

• homework folder. science folder, cell phone and pen or pencil.

If I an absent from school, I will do the following to get missing assignments:

• Wait for the teacher to tell me what I missed.

• Ask my first bell teacher if I can leave class to get missing assignments.

• Check the calendar, pick up missing papers and schedule missed tests and quizzes with the teacher.

• I probably didn’t miss anything important.

The end of class is when

• the teacher dismisses class.

• I’m tired of working.

• I am finished with my assignment.

• I ‘m tired of listening to the teacher.

To turn in make-up work from an absence or to turn in a re-do place the assignment(s)

• on the teacher’s desk.

• into your classes bell tray.

• don’t worry about it, until your teacher ask for it.

• into the make-up/re-do file.

When one of your teachers wants your attention, or needs you to get quiet they will say

• “shh”.

• “get quiet”.

• “team”.

• “shut up”.

If I am late to school I will

• try to sneak into class without the teacher seeing me.

• explain to the teacher that I overslept.

• tell the teacher, “the door wasn’t shut, so I’m not late”

• go to the office and get a tardy slip.
