What is Line?

• A Mark that returns to itself and becomes enclosed
• The visual sensation dependent on the reflection or absorption of light from a given surface. The three characteristics of colors are hue, intensity, and value.
• A path of a moving point.
• A closed two-­‐‑dimensional area or plane can be free form or geometric. It can be found in nature or created by humans.

Organic Line

• Are mathematically determined
• Soft and hardly visable
• Lines that are found in nature, free flowing.
• Lines that go from side to side.

Contour line

• A Line which goes up and down.
• A line follow the shape of an object.
• Lines that are invisible.
• Lines that are like scribble.

These Lines suggest calm and quiet, a relaxed comfort.
