KS3 - The Lungs

I am the windpipe that leads from the mouth and nose to the bronchi

I am a tiny air sac at the end of the bronchioles where gas exchange happens

I have a large surface area to increase how much oxygen and carbon dioxide can pass to and from the blood stream

I am the tube leading from the trachea into each lung

I make up a movable cage to protect the lungs

You can find me between each rib and I allow the ribcage to change size and volume
