That´s right...
By the year 2050 the earth´s population is expected to reach 10 billion people. We need to produce 70% more food in order to keep everyone fed.
Who is responsible for making that happen?....not TikTok influencers, not professional gamers or professional athletes.
All those involved in Agriculture will be feeding, clothing, and protecting our world.
If you have eaten today, if you are wearing clothing, if you have a roof over your head, thank a farmer

So you´re saying Ag is responsible for our very survival!?!?!?
Basically, yes!!
Unless you live a hunter/gatherer lifestyle, wearing only animal skins from animals you hunted and living in a mud house, or cave... and by the looks of you, probably not.
Even our freshwater is protected by those involved in natural resource conservation, a branch of agricultural sciences.
7
So why is it important to learn about agriculture and why do we need more young people interested in agricultural sciences?
8
FACTS BRO
The average age of the US farmer is 58 years old. And that number keeps going up, meaning less people are getting into production Ag.
Agriculture Science jobs are in demand! Beyond farming, there is a high NEED for professionals in the fields of science, technology, business and communication relating directly to agriculture.
The Agriculture industry NEEDS diversity! The number of farm operators of Spanish, Hispanic or Latino origin is higher than ever, up 13% to 112,451. There also are more Black farm operators (45,508, up 2%). But we can and should do better, especially as farming moves from rural to urban areas.
As the human population continues to grow, we NEED to find ways to ensure all basic needs are being met for all people and we NEED to continue to make our agricultural practices sustainable, protecting the environment, our society, and our economy.
