​A sentence is a complete thought. It expresses an idea to the reader.

​Every sentence needs to start with a capital letter. A capital letter is an upper case letter. Names of people, animals, places, days, holidays, and months should also be capitalized.

​My soft, fuzzy dog, Reba is going with me to the park.

My- capitalized because it is the beginning of the sentence.
soft-using the feeling of touch (adjective)
fuzzy-describing word (adjective)
Reba-capitalized because it is a name of an animal. Reba is also the subject in the sentence.
going with me-predicate (telling what she is doing)
a period is used for punctuation-telling
