I knew my older brother was playing a trick on me, but I couldn't help the fear that was building in my stomach. I gripped the flashlight tightly, its beam dancing across the walls as I tried to convince myself that there was nothing to be afraid of.

If you think you are lost begin by stopping immediately and try remaining calm. Stay in one place. Check to see if you have lost sight of the trail. You can do this by marking your location and taking short walks in several directions, returning each time to your starting point.

The driving is the easiest part of my job. The cars stay out of my way but driving on ice covered roads is terrible. Driving on ice is like waiting for a time bomb to go off. The truck weighs 55,000 pounds and is 48 feet long. There is no way I am going to stop quickly on ice. So, I keep my distance from other cars.
