What does it mean to think "Win-Win?"

It means that we both get what we want.

Two students want to use the same playground equipment (balls, jump rope, swings, glider), what do you do?

Take turns with the equipment (go to another piece of equipment first, and then come back and use the equipment you wanted), take 2-3 minutes each on equipment.

What do you do when you are working on a group Science project together and everyone wants to do the same job?

Everyone in the group talks about what they want to do, and then make a decision before the work starts who does each role (take turns with certain roles)

What do you do when you want the same book from the library as someone else does?

You could ask librarian if they have another copy of it. If not, take turns, one person has it one week and other person has it the next week.

You want to use the same computers/iPads as another student and there are no other computers/iPads, what do you do?

If you are learning or doing the the same thing, use it together. If you are working on different things, take turns (use a timer to keep track of the time person).

At recess a group of students are having a hard time playing basketball with kindness. What do you do?

Choose a referee, and have the referee make fair calls. If you still can’t work it out, rock, paper, scissor for who gets the ball.

Two students are not sharing materials in ART class, what would you do?

One person uses the material for 5 minutes, and the other person uses for 5 minutes. While you are waiting, you can plan what you will do when you get material.

You are playing football with your friends and everyone gets into an argument about a play. What do you do?

Talk about rules before game, let everyone have a say and have fun.

You and your friend are hanging out and can't decide what to do. Your friend wants to play a game but you want to watch a movie, what do you do?

Spend one hour watching movie, spend one hour playing game.

You are trying to fall asleep but your brother/sister is listening to music loudly in the room next to yours. What do you do?

Ask them to put on their headphones and listen to the music as loud as they want to, and then you can sleep or ask them to close their door, and you close your door.

The class just finished a group activity and supplies are everywhere. You can’t leave for recess until it is all cleaned up, but you have already cleaned up your mess. What do you do?

Help other people even though you’re finished cleaning up. Also can ask your classmates who also finished cleaning up their mess to help.

Your teacher is absent. None of your classmates are listening to the substitute teacher. What do you do?

Put your hand up with the silent signal to encourage everyone to listen to the substitute teacher.

You are playing baseball after school with friends. You and your friend both want to be the pitcher. What do you do?

Alternate (take turns) pitching, every 5 minutes or every inning.

Your house only has 1 tablet/iPAD/computer and you want to use it but your brother/sister also wants to use it. What do you do?

Take turns using it (10 minutes per person) you could flip a coin or rock, paper, scissor to see who goes first.

Your at your friend’s house, they want to play inside and you want to play outside. What do you do?

Spend time doing both activities.

You want your parent to buy you a new toy/or video game, but your parent says no. What do you do?

Propose making a deal with them. Offer to do a chore for one month, and then after 1 month you can get the toy or video game.

You don’t like what your friends are doing during recess, but you don’t want to be alone. What should you do?

Try and join their game, and then maybe they will be willing to try your game.

You are writing a story for class with a partner and you and your partner have 2 different ideas for the story. What should you do?

Use both stories and combine the stories in 1 awesome big story.

You have patiently been raising your hand, and your teacher doesn’t call on you. What should you do?

Let it go, tell yourself it’s okay, raise your hand the next time the teacher asks a question, go up to your teacher at a good time and tell them you really would like to participate more.
