In Act One, Scene Four of 'Twelfth Night', Viola, disguised as Cesario, becomes Orsino's favorite servant. Orsino sends Cesario to woo Olivia, believing Cesario's youthful appearance will be effective. Viola, however, is in love with Orsino, creating an internal conflict. Orsino's pursuit of Olivia is irrational, focusing on her personal qualities rather than her status. Shakespeare uses language and symbolism to suggest that Orsino and Viola are meant to be together, as their lines in the play often complete each other.
