VOICED : British artist sews an entire newsagents shop with felt

Sparrow has transformed a rundown London store into a felt art installation, featuring a playful take on Andy Warhol's Campbell Soup cans. Inspired by her time working at a newsagent, Sparrow's project comments on the decline of small local shops due to the rise of supermarkets. The project was partially funded by the England Arts Council and largely supported by a Kickstarter campaign, raising over £10,000. The installation includes 4,000 felt items, all available for purchase, and offers workshops for those interested in creating their own felt art. Sparrow plans to expand her project to New York, stocking a 7-11 with felt creations.
