Boeing has grounded around 50 of its 737NG aircraft due to structural cracks discovered during global inspections. The FAA ordered these inspections after cracks were found in a plane in China. Boeing inspected about 1,000 planes, finding defects in less than 5% of them, which are now grounded until repairs are made. This issue adds to Boeing's ongoing safety challenges, including the 737 MAX model, which has been grounded for seven months following two fatal crashes linked to software malfunctions.
